Williams’ installation project 'The Living Room' is a modeled reconstruction of her living room at 10:1 scale. It features miniature reproductions of her paintings on the walls and a working TV screen displaying video footage. A hidden camera within the living room captures the viewer as they peep in the windows. This footage is then projected onto the wall of the adjoining room.

‘The Living Room’ is a study of voyeurism today; it mimics the experience of watching, being secretly filmed looking and then the fascination of observing others.  This installation questions the role of voyeur played by the world’s media today, where graphic and disturbing scenes from faraway places are exposed to us via the screen into the central private haven of our safe and secure existence, our own living rooms. We are the viewer society.
